Assalamo Alaiykum All,
I am Mohamed Ali Yusuf Ravat (lakhi) grandson of Famous Late Haji Ahmed Ebrahim ravat (Lakhi Patel) and eldest son of Late Haji Yusuf Ahmed Ravat (Lakhi) and curator of this website.
I am very family oriented and adore my family and my three Children; we've been through many ups and downs’ together.I don’t know where I would be without them? We're all very close, and I think it’sgreat to have a kind of relationships that we have with each other and the respect I get of my children. I love my children, I am very grateful to Allah, My late father and my late grandparents for Instilling the Values of Honesty in Me and support from my other half Fatima for making it possible, I feel truly blessed to have my family and children close to me. I love them.
I was born here in U.K. but Due to unforeseen circumstances my father took me to India to live with my late grandparents, my late father visited me once a year he loved me very dearly. I have many fond memories of him, May Allah grant Him and All the Marhooms The Highest place in Junnat Ameen.
Manekpore is very close to my heart, I spent happiest time of my life there, I spent my childhood with my grandparents and my great grandmother, I must be luckiest person on earth to spent time with ones great grandmother, I have fond memories of manekpore.
I spent 8 years in Manekpore when there was no electric Electricity was not available at that time so we used kerosene lamps, no water supply they had to fill water from local wells, and no transport in our village so everyone use to travel by bel gari (ox cart ) but we were lucky my grandfather had horses, ox carts and a motorbike (rajdoot) my family has been actively involved in running of manekpore from both side of my family from my mothers and my fathers side, my fathers side has been involved in running the village (gam) for four generations, first my great grand father Haji Ebrahim Ismail Ravat, my famous grand father late Haji Ahmed Ebrahim Ravat (Lakhi Patel), who was committee chairman and Patel of the village in India for many years until he came to U.K. ,He brought many facilities to manekpore like electricity, bus service and construction of village bridge with his influence in local governments and many other charitable projects to him and his two brothers Musa and amojis names.
My father Haji Yusuf Ahmed Ravat (Lakhi patel) was also Chairman here in U.K until he passed away in 2000,he also has had many things to his name like pushing for long term investment for our committee, Cooking equipment etc and many charitable projects in India like building mosques, water bore holes, pumps and building houses for the poor etc, I have also been involved in our committee for last 20 years on and off helping my father when it was possible, I hope to follow in their foot steps inshallah and give something back to manekpore where I spent happiest time of my life.
Jazakallah to all who complimented me for creating this site.
